I don’t usually post stuff that celebrities say, but Phil Robertson is MY kind of preacher.
He tells it like it is, and dose not care WHO it offends, even tells the truth to President Trump! Phil has not been gelded, and is not like sissy preachers who have “Lace on their Panties”! He preaches Hell, Fire and Brimstone and does not apologize to anyone for preaching what the Word of God says! Neither do I!
‘Duck Dynasty’ star attributes political rift to U.S. forgetting God
Michael F. Haverluck | OneNewsNow.com – When Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson – known for telling it like it is – asserted that there is political division in the United States because it has forgotten God, he also offered biblical wisdom when revealing the solution – unity can only come through a renewed belief in God.
As Americans continue to grow further and further apart with the November presidential election approaching, the Christian TV star appealed to timeless Scripture as the roadmap to get a divided and increasingly secularized nation back on course.
“Because they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, God gave them over to a depraved mind to do what ought not to be done,” Robertson quoted Romans 1:28 while interviewing with Fox Business’ Stuart Varney earlier this month. “They’ve become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed depravity … strife, malice, deceit, [and] what you’re seeing on the streets of America are people who have renounced God, and fallible men say: ‘We’ll let our government handle it.’”
Getting to the heart of the problem …
The analysis Robertson gave coincided with his bestselling book, The Theft of America’s Soul: Blowing the Lid Off the Lies That Are Destroying Our Country, which he says gives a snapshot of what God’s Kingdom is like to believers as they function within a constitutional republic.
“Robertson contrasted America’s secular society – which shuns God despite having broad religious freedoms, to China, where Christians ‘whisper the Scriptures’ in defiance of a communist regime that targets followers of Christ,” the Western Journal pointed out. “Robertson admitted he ‘sometimes’ feels like a voice crying out in the wilderness with the message of the gospel …”
He gave Americans some biblical advice.
“You have to remember, the kingdom of God is about love – look at the love problem,” the devout Christian insisted before referring to 1st Corinthians 13:4-7. “The opposite of love is hate. You say, ‘We’re full of it.’ [But] the Kingdom of God says, ‘Love joy, peace, patience, goodness … faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.’”
Sin can only heal with love – not more sin …Bottom of FormTop of Form
Back in June, Robertson addressed the chaos that spawned from African American George Floyd’s murder by a white police officer on May 25 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, saying that the sins of Floyd trying to pass of a counterfeit $20 bill and the officer lethally kneeling on his neck for nine minutes only brought on more sins of violence – which exacerbated the tension.
“What everybody watching it – as soon as that got in the news media – the response to that was more sin,” Robertson explained in his June Unashamed with Phil Robertson podcast. “In other words, this is the way to remedy what just happened to this unfortunate man. This is the way to remedy it – so they take off, and they’re going to show us what it’s like, what the remedy should look like. Well, I’m looking up, and I’m seeing looting, robbery, burglary and throwing rocks, busting people’s heads, and burn the whole thing down.”
He indicated that man’s reaction is rarely God’s solution.
“That’s our response to sin – more sin,” Robertson added. “So I’m just looking at it saying, ‘You know, they can say what they want to, but I think this is going end up being – and it always has – being a spiritual fix.’”
Always candid about God’s take on sin …
Back in 2016, when Duck Dynasty ended its successful 11-year run as a reality series on A&E, Robertson’s biblical take on controversial issues was addressed, with many on the left and in the entertainment industry taking offence to his Christian worldview.
His discussion of homosexual behavior from a year earlier was mentioned.
“God says, ‘One woman, one man,’ and everyone says, ‘Oh, that’s old hat, that’s that old Bible stuff,’” Robertson told Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins in a 2015 interview. “But I’m thinking, well, let’s see now. A clean guy – a disease-free guy and a disease-free woman – they marry and they keep their sex between the two of them. They’re not going to get chlamydia, and gonorrhea, and syphilis, and AIDS. It’s safe. Either it’s the wildest coincidence ever that horrible diseases follow immoral conduct, or it’s God saying, ‘There’s a penalty for that kind of conduct.’ I’m leaning towards there’s a penalty for it.”
Also mentioned was his moral take on supporting North Carolina’s law against transgender bathrooms.
“Men should use the men’s bathroom and women should use the women’s bathroom,” Robertson wrote in an email, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “Just because a man may ‘feel’ like a woman doesn’t mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter – or yours. That used to be called common sense. Now it’s called bigoted.”
Man needs God … period.
Even though his candid take on societal and moral issues are not well-received by many on the left, he continues to try and be a beacon of God’s light.
“Robertson has been unwavering in his public faith as he instinctively recognizes that men need God – or else they descend into the worst of their nature: violence, hatred, division and anarchy,” the Western Journal recounted. “The atheistic left has replaced God with the secular virtues of tolerance and social justice that are deftly twisted into a malevolent mirror image of actual virtues, using them to excuse and even encourage destruction and evil.”
Instead of man looking inward to find the answers, Robertson and the Bible exhort people to humble themselves and realize that the only solution for this world’s strife is belief and reliance in God.
“When examining the continued downward spiral of American society – which has cast out faith from the public square – it seems the only thing that can unite the country is faith in the one, true God of the Bible,” the piece continued. “Robertson’s solution presents a very real, distinct dichotomy for the future of America: Choose the love of God and live in peace and harmony – or turn away from the Lord and descend into hatred and anarchy.”
If more Christians would stand up and preach the truth, America would NOT be in the shape it is in!!!
If you go to the store to buy Meat, don't run to the Milk section or the Junk Food aisle looking for it!!
The Meat Section is the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Milk Section is likened to those who will not preach on sin and Hell, just a feel good message, the Social gospel.
The Junk Food Isle is the outright false doctrine AKA the prosperity gospel, name it and claim it, the Hebraic Roots movement and other false teachings!!
Feasting on just Milk and Junk will eventually cause you great harm, you can count on it!!
