Whats Wrong with the NIV?
Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.“

My quest for the truth about which Bible version was correct started when I first was saved in 1993. The church I was in at the time purchased me a brand new New International Version (NIV) study Bible. It was a beautiful Bible made of genuine leather and I read it daily and was absorbing all I could from it. However, the preacher would preach mostly from the New American Standard and as I would follow along in mine it did not say the same wording and I wondered why. I ask him and he said it was just mans way to put it a simpler way so people could understand it better. I thought ok I will go along with that as I am not the sharpest tack in the box and never liked to read, or be in school for that matter. I never read a book from cover to cover until I was in my 30’s. So I kept reading and studying from the NIV and the commentaries but something just did not feel right. Also sitting in a church that is teaching and preaching false doctrine should not feel right if your are truly born again and you are allowing the Holy spirit to lead you. I now know it was the Holy Spirit trying to tell me what I was being fed was not correct.
It was in a Sunday School class and I was ask to read a couple of verses out of the book of Mark (I believe it was) that the teacher had chosen. I turned there and the verses I was ask to read were not there… at all. I thought a page was missing so I told him they were not in my Bible and that a page must be missing or there was a mistake in the printing. Then I looked down at the commentary at the bottom and it said that some manuscripts did not have these verses that the NIV was translated from. Well that set me on a quest to find out the real truth about what was going on. I ask the Holy Spirit to help me find out the truth and he did. He also helped me find some truths about other stuff in God’s word I was being taught falsely but that is a whole other can of worms!!
Needless to say I do not have that Bible any longer and in fact I burned it so no one else could be deceived by it. I went out and bought a King James Version (KJV). Notice it’s not a New King James Version (NKJV) as it too has satans word changes and deletions. Most say that the KJV is too hard to read and understand and that we are in modern times and need modern English translations. Well I would go along with that IF, it was inspired by God and God hating so called scholars were not doing the translating! Satan will do everything he can to keep us from reading and hearing the truth. You must seek God in everything you do and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. And most of all if it does not line up with scripture that has been used for centuries, then you must disregard it. Here are some sources on the subject and which Versions you should avoid at all costs. If you have a preacher that is preaching out of a corrupt Bible then I suggest you leave that church because the truth is not in that church!!

If you go to the store to buy Meat, don't run to the Milk section or the Junk Food aisle looking for it!!
The Meat Section is the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Milk Section is likened to those who will not preach on sin and Hell, just a feel good message, the Social gospel.
The Junk Food Isle is the outright false doctrine AKA the prosperity gospel, name it and claim it, the Hebraic Roots movement and other false teachings!!
Feasting on just Milk and Junk will eventually cause you great harm, you can count on it!!
